A rather interesting antique japanned lacquered papier mache table.
In the manner of Jennens & Bettridge.
The table appears to be a 'marriage' between a Regency fire screen and similar table base.
The piece is exquisitely painted with a peacock and other exotic birds on the table top and beautiful floral paintings on the base.
High quality painting throughout.
A very decorative piece.
Very good antique condition, some minor age related wear with some crazing and fading to the table top. Minor lacquer losses to the feet.
