A fabulous vintage Asian hardwood chest.
Of large proportions and mounted upon carved ball and claw feet.
The body of the chest having a fluted banded design. 
Hardwood construction, possibly mahogany and walnut, the chest is very solid with lots of storage space.
There is a hand carved panel to the lid. Depicting elephants and is signed and dated.
The interior has a removable baize lined tray / shelf.
A very handsome and useful piece of furniture.

56 cm deep.
